I passed the PMP exam with 3 ATs in July 2024. Here’re all the resources I found useful, and all the tips and information you will need. Good luck!

First of all, here’s what you need to know about the PMP exam when studying for it:

As at July 2024 — the PMP exam is really a test of your understanding and application of the concepts. Most questions will be application / situational questions, with few memorization questions and hardly any (0–2) calculation questions. It’s also largely agile-focused at the moment, with possibly >50% of the questions set in an agile setting. This should inform the way you prepare for the exam.

How I prepared for the exam and resources I highly recommend:

  1. Start with an overview to know what to expect

Max Mao’s YouTube channel was really valuable for me — start here for his general preparation strategy, then follow his guide for a painless exam application. He also has these 5 great videos giving a very logical breakdown of each part of a project at a high level.

2. I jumped right into David McLachlan’s practice questions on YouTube: 150 Scenario-Based Questions & 200 Agile Questions.
